With second year of uni finished, it is finally time to get truly excited for my holidays. The glimmer of sun peeking through those Yorkshire clouds has got me counting down the days till I jet off to Rhodes!
After many a trip down Leeds high street, I’ve made the general assumption that the best summer deals to be found this year, are online. Especially when it comes to swimwear, I think the likes of Topshop and River Island haven’t really delivered for me this year. I also apologise in advance for the shitty quality of my photos today, it was a mixture of bad lighting, bad backgrounds and my camera deciding to be uncooperative.
On ASOS I found this beautifully unusual knitted bralet, keeping in with the crochet crop trend of the last two years but the floral embroidery makes it a more unique choice. And in the sale for £6.50 I couldn’t say no!
From H & M I picked up a pair of super jazzy printed shorts for only £6.99. They look very urban outfitters and fit like an absolute dream, the fabric is super lightweight and perfect for holiday. Also from H & M I picked up some red/black patterned culottes. I’m very late on to the culotte bandwagon but I thought these would be great to wear on a sunny day in England as well as abroad, the print again is very unusual and they were just £10 in the sale.
Finally, on Boohoo I got two items. I picked out a plain white bikini top; it’s padded so gals don’t worry about any nip-slips, it was super cheap at £7, its a really good piece to mix and match with other plain or printed bottoms and I find the cut super flattering. At a C/D cup (depending on the store), I find I can’t really get away with a lot of the triangle style unsupported bikini tops, despite lusting over this seasons beautifully printed ones at urban outfitters, but I don’t want some bulky top that resembles a bra. This style is perfect for me as it offers dem titties a little more support without feeling like they ain’t free.
Secondly from Boohoo, I got a dress from (squeal) Charli XCX’s new Boohoo S/S16 collection. I couldn’t photograph it well today, and due to its extreme slinkiness, I could’ve done with a better pair of knickers (I’m talking no vpl). I will upload a photo of it to my instagram @emilyrosejacko, It was also super cheap at £15, and the darker dusky pink colour is so on trend and flattering for my pale as casper skin tone.
